Rules

  1. The player who connects four pieces in a row loses.
  2. Neither player may place a piece atop the last piece placed by the opponent.
  3. Rule 2 is not applied if there is only one column left to play in.
  4. If the board is filled without either player making four in a row, White wins.
  5. An 8x8 board is generally used.

Rules

  1. As soon as the first row of the board is completely occupied, all pieces in this row are removed, causing all pieces above to shift down one row.
  2. If a move occupies the last open space on the first row but also completes four in a row, Rule 1 is not applied; instead, the player who made that move wins.
  3. An 8x8 board is generally used.

  2. On any given turn, a piece can be placed in any unoccupied space on any of the four grids.
